Life is about leaving a positive legacy in which opportunity is present and passions can be cultivated.

I am a graduate of Syracuse University's Public Diplomacy Masters Program. In this dual degree program, I earned an M.A. in International Relations and an M.S. in Public Relations at Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs and the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications respectively.

I served as an AmeriCorps member for two years in both rural and metropolitan areas. In AmeriCorps VISTA, I served at an educational nonprofit working with low-income students in Denver, Colorado. Previously, I acted as a Field Team Leader in the North Central Region of AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps (NCCC). While in NCCC, my team, Cedar 7, and I served throughout Iowa, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Ohio.

I am a graduate of Boston University, with a B.S. in News and Editorial Journalism with an emphasis on International Relations. Originally from Kansas City, I get serious about my barbecue and college basketball.

Passionate about social justice, diplomacy, journalism, politics, community service, international affairs, current events, humor, and traveling. Coffee black, please.
