Beer-fueled fun to raise money to benefit the Madison County Historical Society
ONEIDA, N.Y. – The Madison County Historical Society is hosting its 23rd Annual Hop Fest from Sept. 14 to Sept. 16 on the grounds of the Madison County Historical Society House, 435 Main Street, Oneida. The Hop Fest features beer and food pairings, hops suppliers, and samplings of craft beer, among numerous hoppy historical events that celebrate the past, present and, future of Central New York’s hop industry. All proceeds benefit programming at the Madison County Historical Society.
Guests are free to attend a single day or events throughout the weekend. Only 150 tickets will be sold in total so interested parties are encouraged to purchase before available tickets run out. The calendar and ticket price for each day of Hop Fest is as follows:
Paired Beer Dinner at Empire Farm Brewery- $65 per dinner
16 Hop Heritage Tour- $40
“The Madison County Hop Fest surpasses all of the other fests out there because it is the only one of its kind that can proudly declare that it celebrates over 200 years of hop heritage that began right here in Madison County!” explains the Hop Fest’s website.
About the Madison County Historical Society
The Madison County Historical Society’s (MCHS) mission is to preserve, collect, promote and exhibit the history of Madison County and its fifteen towns and one city through the development of programs and events that enhance the county’s heritage for the people of Madison County and those studying the county’s heritage. The MCHS operates the Mary King Genealogical Research Library named after Mary King and her two decades-plus of volunteer service to the historical society helping families with their genealogy.
